We have over 20 years of experience in delivering solutions to help our clients

We have won awards for innovation for the software we have developed. Our staff are all extremely professional with an international team spread across 4 countries, this allows us to tailor the team to suit your requirments. Together with our partners, we have delivered Enterprise Architecture solutions for the State railways in South Africa as well as other major companies. We continue to offer support for applications developed by us for major retailers in the travel sector, with a complete support infrastructure utilising a dedicated ticketing system for logging support request. We believe in working with our clients to deliver fair and affordable pricing, the necessity for flexibility comes from the knowledge that no two clients needs are ever the same.

Remote Development; How It Will Work For You

We offer a remote development service based in South Africa, we offer lower costs for development when compared to companies based in Europe, the United Kingdom or the United States while offering a highly skilled workforce of developers across all technologies. We build teams based on the needs of our clients. We will structure the teams based on the project size and budget, ensuring that the correct skills and capabilities are assigned to each client. In all cases the projects are managed by competent, experienced project managers assigned to be the key point of interaction. We offer the full range of skills from Business Analysis to development, to ensure effective project delivery. Once a project is delivered, we offer full support for the product at the scale necessary. We can offer full support of dedicated developers to ensure that the application is functioning effectively at all times. We currently carry this out for large retailers and other customers. We have a custom fault logging system that ensures no issues are unaddressed.

In the Enterprise Architecture consulting area, we offer experienced Enterprise Architects who can help with establishing the correct Enterprise Architecture for your organisation based on the current state and the desired future state, we specialise in giving an unbiased roadmap to achieving the correct future architecture because we are not linked to any software vendors. We will deliver an architecture that is entirely uninfluenced by vendor specific issues but will accommodate the current products in your company's architecture. We have worked at the level of the state railways in South Africa and can handle large architecture projects. These projects will entail the architects locating themselves in your organisation for the duration of the project.

I have a Msc degree in Information Systems from the University of Leeds in the UK. I am a member of Mensa. I am TOGAF certified and have worked extensively as an Enterprise Architect. SABC – IT Development Manager for TV Licences Saambou Bank – Project manager for Commissions system and worked on recapitalisation of the bank Chase Manhattan Bank (UK) – lead designer and lead developer on Global Stock Lending system for Tokyo, Frankfurt, London and New York

Barclays Bank (UK) – developer on Barclays registrars' systems Sky TV (UK) – Fixed issues with damaged databases for about 15 million clients, cleaning data and restructuring to correct errors created by bad development work which had created an unknown number of duplicate records. Travellinck – Designed and managed development of corporate travel system, implemented architecture software invented by myself, Software AG - Started the architecture and business analysis consulting areas and lead team at Transnet to carry out Enterprise Architecture for the company.

Transnet – Implemented new architecture for Transnet Freight Rail, acted as architect on new occupation system for Transnet, trained all staff on new architecture

  • Integrated SAP, Sprint, Webmethods, Natural and Java development into one seamless process for proof of architecture
  • Trained and assisted in setting up Architecture Review Board for Transnet Freight Rail
  • Documented all aspects of the Transnet Freight Rail architecture
  • Implemented P3D (Process Driven Design and Development) – a Software Development Life Cycle Approach created by myself for developing in a seamless, iterative fashion to simplify component-based development.
  • Liaised with the CIO and Chief Architect of Transnet to keep them abreast of all developments and provided regular feedback on progress by the project teams.

Wesbank – Assisted in defining transition from mainframe to Service Orientated Architecture. African Bank – Defined new architecture and assisted Software AG staff to implement new system Taught developers how to translate processes in Natural Adabas to Java. on the architecture Mass Discounters (Game, Dion Wired) – Assisted in evaluating Software AG work, trained new chief architect for Mass Discounters. Vuka – Conceived and developed an integration hub for travel in South Africa, it integrates about 20 bus companies, most South African airlines, car hire companies and shuttles into one platform. This is currently used by Pick ‘n Pay, Travel by Investec, Boxer stores and several other companies.

Management Layer – Designed integration software that allowed for single-sign on across any number of systems automatically, implemented it for Flightsite Flightsite - Was lead architect and managed development of Flightsite Agent, a system for independent travel agents selling tickets through Flightsite. TravelStreamer – Founded a platform for selling bus tickets through any outlets, designed to lower the barrier to entry to travel, this was not as successful as was hoped as the cost of setup was too high per client. Developed Irridessa – Skanda System for managing software development

Developed Starburst – Skanda automated incident logging system for support. RedBed – Skanda developed Property Management System for hotels, aimed at smaller establishments. BusinessDriver – In 2004, Invented software to allow for the integration of disparate systems across multiple platforms using reusable components, this was implemented by travelLinck, received a grant for innovation from the Department of Trade and Industry for innovation for the development of Business Driver. started patent process in EU, but stopped due to costs.

Developed P3D software development approach, which drove software development from the processes down to the technology, designed to remove the gap between analysis and development and aligned development with SOA.
